My CHA creations for FabScraps .:. C72 Beach Affair - Salty Breeze

I had the privilege to create for FabScraps CHA exhibition this year as well and this is my first page using The Beach Affair collection which is just amazingly pretty.






For This Project You Will Need:

   FabScraps Beach Affair C72 004 x 1
   FabScraps Beach Affair C72 006 x 1
   FabScraps Beach Affair MC 72 001A Journal Book
   FabScraps Beach Affair DC72 012
   FabScraps Beachcomber “Salty Breeze” DC 64 008
   FabScraps anchor metal Embellishment
   Clear & heavy weight white gesso
   Spray gesso
   Border punch
   Cheesecloth
   Mist
   Distress ink
   Twine
   Gold stickles
   Flowers
   Edge distresser

   White embossing powder


Instructions:
1.     Use the FabScraps Beach Affair C74 003 as the base. Rough up the edges using an edge scraper and ink the edge using distress ink. If you like, you can cut out the centerpiece of the paper to leave a 2” thick frame.
2.     Take the FabScraps Beach Affair C74 006. Cut off ½ “ on two sides. Cover it with clear gesso and let dry.  Rough up the edges using a border punch and an edge scraper and ink the edge using distress ink.
3.    Add the second piece on top of the base.
4.     Add some heavy weight gesso using a mask. Let dry. Add some blue color on the gesso using a mist or watercolor. Let dry.
5.     Paint the FabScraps Beachcomber “Salty Breeze” DC 64 008 using spray gesso. Let dry. Add some distress ink.
6.     Cut out the frame from FabScraps Beach Affair DC72 012. Paint with gesso. Let dry. Emboss with white embossing powder. Add some distress ink.
7.     Add a piece of FabScraps Beach Affair C72 004 in the frame.
8.    Cut out the two banners from FabScraps Beach Affair DC72 012. Add the banners from FabScraps Beach Affair MC 72 001A Journal Book. Glue on and ink the edges. Also cut out the relaxing on the beach tag. Tie a twine om the tag. And add the metall anchor.
9.     Glue down a piece of cheesecloth, the frame, the salty breeze chippie, the photo and the tag. Staple on the twine to keep it in place.
10.  Add a few flowers
11.  Add some gold stickles on the flowers, metal embellishments and the gesso.
12.  Your layout is now ready to frame and hang!
