Beary Cute ♥ My first FabScraps page

It's been a looong waiting to receive the package with the sweet collections Beary Cute and Milkshake Chic all the way from South Africa but now that I have them in hand I can say the waiting was definitely worth it - they are lovely.

My first page:

For This Layout You Will Need
  • FabScraps Baby Bears paper range: C57 004, 005, 007 and MC57 001, 003, 007, 008, 011,and MCD57 001, 004
  • Chipboard piece DC57 004
  • Mask with distress ink, stamps, twine, black pen.
  • Machine stitching.
Instructions

  1.    Use the Bunny Bear 1 PP as a background
  2.  Cut out pieces of PP and details and arrange them to form a cluster nice to the eye. Distress all edges and then glue together but not to the background.
  3.   Add some decorative machine stitching
  4.    Add some mask/distress to the background so that they will show behind the photo/PP/decoration cluster.
  5.  Add a few stamps that also will show behind the actual photo cluster.
  6.  Glue on the photo cluster
  7.  Fuzzy cut out the bath tag, distress the edges and tie a piece of twine or ribbon to it.
  8.    Add the tag and the chip board title (distress the edges) to the page.
  9.  Distress the edges of the base.
  10.  Add the date using a pen.
  11.  Enjoy!

Grattis på din dag i dag A ♥

Father's day cards

Photocentrics just joined forces with Trimcraft to distribute the Teresa Collins Stampmaker in the UK and at the same time the stampmaker got a new look.

I made a new stamp design for the (in the UK) upcomming Father's day and a few cards. You are welcome to download the stamp designs and use for your own projects.

Click here to download the stam designs.

What you need
Father’s Day stamp design
Straw and black Cardstock, Teresa Collins Vintage Findings collection, wood veneer hearts from Studio Calico, Doilies, StazOn, distress ink.

What to do
1) Cut out 3 card bases from the Straw CS and fold to 4x6”
2) Cut out 3 pieces of black CS slightly smaller than 4x6”
3) Stamp onto pieces of PP of the TC Vintage findings.
4) Cut out several pieces of the collection and make sure you mix the light beige colored layers with the darker black.
5) Ink all edges using distress ink (I used Brushed corduroy)
6) Lay out every piece on top of the black CS. when you are happy glue down the bottom layers and then stich the edges

The Studio Challenges - new sketch is up

I decided to accept the challenge and add journaling to my page for the first time in a very long time. And that is not all, I also wrote by hand... and I do alot to avoid that LOL. The pic is from when we left my 2 boys ny the bus to go their first ever gymnastics camp.

I used some favorite Studio Calico papers, Crafter's Workshop templates, Distress ink, YouDo washi tape, bling and flowers and the feather and title is made using the Silhouette.

The page is based on this sketch:
Now go check out the rest of the team at the Studio Challenges and create based on the sketch for a chance to win something from this months sponsor  - Memory Maze.

Finally Springtime ♥ Äntligen vår

Have you used the Teresa Collins Photocentrics stampmaker March free stamp designs? I have, several times and I just adore the designs. This is my latest page:

What you need:
March free stamp download, White CS, Masks, Distress ink. Teresa Collins Stationary Noted Collection, a large Doily and some turquoise CS. For the title I used my Silhouette but you can use ant thickers or make your own stamps for the title instead.

What to do:
1) I stamped onto the centre of the doily and cut out the stamped image. This way I get a sheer image to use as a decoration.
2) I made the background using several different masks and distress ink.
3) Then I cut out several bits and pieces from the TC Stationary Noted 6x6 paper collection and laid it out together with the photo.
4) When I had all in place I removed and added the bird, dandelion and text stamps.
5) And then I laid everything back on the page and glued down.
6) I added a few bits of decoration.
7) To make the title “Äntligen vår”= “finally spring” I used the Silhouette.

It is  a good idea to lay everything out on the page but not mount it. This way you can easily add the stamps when you have figured out where they should be. Repeating the same stamped image is nice to the eye.

Fish Spa

For some reason this page was a bit hard for me to make, perhaps because I chose to use a tiny bit purple which is a color that I prefer not to use LOL. The picture is when me and my best scrappy friend took a fish spa. One of my kids came with us and he found it hillarious.

I made the page for this weeks challenge over at the Studio Challenge:
