Distressrutor .:. Distress ink windows

Confession time: I had never made a distress ink window before I saw this challenge at #CiLiPysslaTillsammans but game on! I ended up making four different creations and I have already decided to make more. It is addictive! And a very easy way to create a stunning detail to your creation.

The first one I made by cutting a  stencil from some acetate. It worked well but it was a bit tricky to keep it on the same place when adding the mask. Now I have gotten some stamping mask paper and that makes it so much easier. I will also try Purple tape in the future.

Jag måste erkänna att jag aldrig hade provat att göra en Distressruta innan jag såg den här utmaningen på #CiLiPysslaTillsammans men självklart var jag tvungen att prova. Och så glad jag är att jag provade! Det är så effektfullt och enkelt att få en vacker detalj. Jag kommer definitivt att fortsätta att använda tekniken.

Första gången skar jag ut en ruta/stencil från en OH-plast/transparency men nu har jag skaffat bättre grejer som gör livet enklare med stamping mask paper. Man kan också använda Purple tape och det ska jag testa nästa gång.

hello! card using .:. Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey .:. and Dina Wakley Collage Tissue Paper

Almost ever since I started scrapbooking I have liked and followed Dina Wakley. I love her scribbles and silhouette women. I have had this tissue paper for a while not knowing exactly what to use it for - it was almost enough just having it in my stash. Then  tried just applying  it to a card using matte gel and combining with the lovely Wildflower & Honey Collection from Vicki Boutin and I think it came out perfect. What do you think?

Nästan ända från starten i min scrapbooking ar jag följt Dina Wakley. Jag älskar hennes sketchiga siluetter av kvinnor. Jag har haft de här tissuepapperna ett tag utan att kunna bestämma mig för vad jag skulle använda dem till - att bara äga dem har nästan räckt. Sen provade jag att applicera dem med matte gel på en kort bas och kombinera med fantastiska Wildflower & Honey-kollektionen från Vicki Boutin. Det blev hur bra som helst! Eller vad tycker du?

Today is not just any ordinary day, at least not for me. It is my 50th birthday, YAY! I made it half way as I like to think of it. So this page is about me and some of my looks. LOL. The left photo is from a masquerade with Danish theme, I am the little mermaid of course. The next is from another theme party Balcan Style, never ever got so many likes on a selphie on face book before, hilarious. The brunette with bangs is also me, just a few years ago. The centre photo is me as Maleficent last Halloween and the right photo is just me in my normal look @ 50.

I used a 12x12 Watercolor paper from Prima as a base and used Annas Distress Oxide technique for the background adding some Vicki Boutin random stamping. The decorations are all from the Wildflower & Honey Collection also by Vicki Boutin. Enjoy today, I know I will!

Idag är inte bara vilken vanlig dag som helst, åtminstone inte för mig. Idag fyller jag nämligen 50 år! Hurra! Jag har kommit halvvägs in i livet som jag vill se det. Så den här sidan handlar bara om mig och några av mina olika looks. Ha ha. Det vänstra fotot är på en av mina kära vänner - Helenas - många temafester. Det var dansk-tema och jag kom så klart som Den Lille Havfrue/den lilla sjöjungfrun. Nästa foto är från en annan av Helenas temafester med balkan-tema. Jag har aldrig fått så många likes på FB som för den selfie, helt galet.  Brunetten med lugg är också jag för bara något år sedan. Mittenfotot är från min kära väninna Saras Halloween-fest i höstas. Jag ska föreställa Malifecent. Fotot längst till höger är bara så som jag ser ut @ 50.
Jag har använt 12x12 akvarellpapper från Prima som bas och använt Annas Distress Oxide-teknik som bakgrund med en massa slumpvis placerade stämplar från Vicki Boutin. Alla dekorationer är också från Vicki Boutin, från hennes Wildflower & Honey-kollektion. Ha en underbar dag, det tänker jag ha!

Hey, honey CAS Card .:. Distress oxide by Ranger .:. Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey

Hello, Petra here to inspire today! I made another CAS card with the same technique as last week using Distress Oxide from Ranger but today I used a new color that I love - spicy marmalade! It becomes different shades of yellow, orange and almost red. Love it! I also used the cute 3D vellum butterfly stickers from the Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey collection on this card. Hope you like it!

Jag har gjort ett till CAS-kort med samma teknik som förra veckan med Distress Oxide i flera lager på akvarellpapper. Den här gången har jag använt en underbar färg som heter spiced marmalade. Den skiftar i nyanser från gult till orange till nästan rött. ÄLSKART! Jag har också använt de underbara 3D vellum fjärilarna från Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey. Hoppas att du blir inspirerad!

I was so inspired by my dear friend Anna who made a real cool CAS card using Distress Oxide. I just had to try it. Fun fun fun! The different color shifting one can get with just one piece of Distress Oxide - amazing!!! If you, like me, haven't tried the distress inks in layers before, please do. I used some watercolor paper from Prima Marketing as a base. I combined with some Wildflower & Honey from Vicki Boutin. Still love that collection.

Jag var så inspirerad av min fantastiska väninna Anna som gjort ett super coolt CAS-kort med Distress Oxide. Jag var tvungen att prova. Vansinnigt kul! De olika färgskiftningarna man kan åstadkomma med bara en enda Distress Oxide-dyna... WOW!!! Om du, precis som jag, ännu inte provat att göra lager på lager med Distress Oxide så säger jag bara PROVA! Jag använde akvarellpapper från Prima som bas. Jag har kombinerat med Wildflower & Honey-kollektionen från Vicki Boutin. Älskar fortfarande denna!

Sometimes it is nice to do nothing. Just cuddling with a cat or two LOL. I am not so good at doing nothing but with some practice I think I will learn.

I keep using the Vicki Boutin wildflower & Honey Collection on my art journaling page but this time as I used other background colors I got quite a differernt look.

Ibland är det mysigt att göra ingenting. Speciellt om man har en katt eller två att mysa med. Jag är egentligen inte särskilt bra på att göra ingenting men med lite övning kanske jag kan bli det.

Jag fortsätter att använda Vicki Boutin wildflower & Honey Collection på min artjournaling-sida men med andra färger och en annan bakgrund blir det en helt annan look.

When meeting sweet scrappy friends IRL I always get so much inspiration and lots of laughters. Thinking back on this scrap-date from last year makes me smile. I am so happy we have a new date this spring.

I made an art journal page using the lovely stencil set from Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey collection. I layered one stencil over another using distress ink. I also stamped some words. Then I added lots of photos frames and decorations from The Wildflower & Honey Collection using Matte Gel. I also framed the page using distress ink.

När jag får förmånen att träffa sina fina scrappvänner i verkliga livet får jag alltid så mycket inspiration och en massa härliga skratt. När jag tänker tillbaka på den här träffen från förra året så gör jag det med glädje. Jag är så glad över att vi har en ny träff inplanerad till våren.

Jag har gjort en artjournalingsida med stenciler från  Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey collection i lager på lager med distress ink. jag har också stämplat några ord eller fraser. Sen kombinerade jag flera foton med ramar och dekorationer från samma serie med matt gel. Jag ramade in sidan med lite distress ink.
