GDT Layout no. 4

Detta är min sista layout som gäst DT för Magdas.
This is my last layout as a GDT at Magdas.

I mitt DT-paket fanns det små söta pappershjärtan i mönstret på ett av de vackra julpapperna från Maja Design och så kom jag på idén med att göra ett jättestort (12x12") flätat pappershjärta som bas för layouten. Innan jag flätade papperna så inkade jag alla kanterna för att förstärka effekten av det är 2 olika papper.
Fotot fick hamna lite utanför hjärtat, dels för att visa mer av hjärtat och dels för att skapa rörelse i layouten. Även titelns placering är för att skapa känslan av rörelse.
Jag klippte ut tre små hjärtan - ett för vart och ett av mina barn - rullade kanterna runt ett penselskaft och sydde fast dem på layouten.
Fotot fäste jag på en grå mönstrad fotomatta som jag mörkade med distress ink. Jag fäste fotot på 3Dkuddar och vek om en bård där mönstret tar upp snirklarna på karusellen. I nederkanten på borden fäste jag en bollfrans.
Jag har valt att hålla layouten ganska enkel för att man ska se de vackra papperna.

In my GDT package there was a paper with small very sweet paper hearts in the pattern from Maja Design that is how I got the idea to make a huge pleated paper heart (12x12") as a base for this layout. Before I pleated the heart, I inked the edges to enhance the effect of using two different papers.

The photo is slightly out side the heart, partly to show more of the heart but also to create movement. Also the position of the title is chosen to create movement.
I cut small hearts – one for each of my kids – rolled the edges on the end of a paint brush and stitched them onto the layout. The photo is mounted onto a grey photo mat that I darkened with distress ink. I also mounted it on 3D foam and folded a board with pattern paper similar to the swirls on the carousel and at the edge a trim.
Once again I have chosen to keep the layout simple to show the beautiful pattern papers.

GDT no 3. - Have you seen the photos before?

Yes you have cause this is my overall favorite photo serie at the moment *LOL*

Jag ville skapa en glad och vacker layout som matchade känslan i fotona på min dotter. Jag valde att klippa ut halva den doodlade cirkeln från Cosmo Crickets Pixie-Licious, Brownie Bands och lägga den över nedre halvan av mitt bakgrundspapper. Jag förstärkte formen med en svart penna och pearl maker på prickarna. Jag fäste också en grå bollfrans längs kanten för att ytterligare förstärka cirkelformen och rama in. Det behövdes något mörkt för att få balans på sidan eftersom både fotona och bakgrundspappret är så mörkt. Jag klippte ut blommor och blad från Cosmo Cricket, Delovely, De Lectable och fäste några på 3D kuddar. Jag stansade ut en massa fjärilar som jag fäste i blommornas förlängning för att skapa rörelse. I mitten fäste jag det vackra anteckningskortet från Prima, men först knöt jag en rosett om kortet och på den fäste jag en lite större fjäril. Jag fäste också titeln på anteckningskortet och använde mig av det förtryckta ordet ‘beautiful’.

I wanted to create a happy and beautiful layout that matched the feeling of the photos of my daughter. I chose to cut half of the doodly circle from Cosmo Crickets Pixie-Licious, Brownie Bands and put it over the lower half of my background paper I enhanced the shape with a black pen and used pearl maker on the spots. I also attached trim along the edge to further enhance the shape and frame the edge. I needed something dark to get balance on the page because both the photo and the background paper are so dark. Thus I cut out flowers and leafs from the PP from Cosmo Cricket, Delovely, De Lectable and mounted on 3D dots. I punched out a lot of butterflies that flies from the flowers to create movement. In the middle of the layout is the beautiful journaling card from Prima, with a rosette and a bigger butterfly. I used the pre printed word ‘beautiful’ on the journaling card in my title.

Jag älskar verkligen det här fotot av Alva och har scrappat det flera gånger. Därför blev jag så glad när jag såg de fantatsiska papperna från Cosmo Cricket – Wanted som i mitt tycke matchar riktigt bra både i färger och känsla. I paketet fanns också med några vackra blommor. På layouten har jag sytt 3 oregelbundna sömmar som jag låter några utstansade fjärilar flyga längs. En ganska enkel layout men med CCs vackra papper så behövs så lite extra.

I really love this photo of Alva and have used it on multiple layouts. So when I saw the fantastic papers from Cosmo Cricket - wanted - which according to me match perfectly both in colors and feeling I was really happy. In the GDT package was also some beautiful flowers. I have made some irregular machine stitching across the layout along which my punched out butterflies are flying. A rather simple layout but what more is needed with the beautiful CC papers?

Det är inte ofta lilla fröken A sitter still, men enstaka stunder när hon hittar något intressant så kan hon sitta alldeles stilla och tyst – lilla fröken fokuserad. Papperna från Cosmo Cricket är så vackra att jag ville sätta fokus på dem på layouten. Därför har jag använt dem både bakom fotot och till bokstäverna i titeln som jag stansat ut. Spetsen har jag sytt och rynkat.

It is not often that little miss A sit still but occasionally when she find something really interesting it happens – little miss focused. The papers from CC are so beautiful that I wanted them to be the focus of this layout. Therefore I have used them both behind the photo and when I have punched out the letters of the title. The lace I have wrinkled using machine stitching.

Traces of Christmas

I have made some simple gift wraps from envelopes and some pattern paper and ribbons.

Jag har gjort några enkla paketpåsar med kuvert, mönstrat papper och band.

Do it like this:

1. seal an envelope; you can use different sizes but a square envelope is best.
2. cut off one of the sides.
3. start at te top (the open side) and decorate for example with stripes of paper
4. when you are almost at the bottom, fold the sides and the botomm and then open up the envelope to make a bag out of it.
5. Fold in the bottom and seal
6. Fill with goodies and seal the top by folding it.
7. some last decorations and voila - a sweet gift exchange package with yummy goodies inside.
