National scrapbooking day & Mom's day

Over there it is national scrapbooking day (NSD) and mom's day this week-end. In Sweden we have to wait another few weeks to celebrate all the fantastic mothers.

At Best Creations Blog you will find a lot of tributes to mothers from all over the world and this is my contribution:

Journaling:
Being a mom is a big responsibility, hard work and endless happiness. All the time, it is something you want to view, like help with or cuddle, a constant interaction. If I leave the room, it will not take five minutes before I hear someone call out "Mom". Being a mother means to shift the focus from myself to my children. Not being able to plan and to always be flexible. Working full time while having 3 children means a constant lack of sleep and very little time for yourself. But it also means a love so great that I did not think it was possible.

Att vara mamma innebär ett stort ansvar, hårt arbete och oändlig lycka. Hela tiden är det något ni vill visa, ha hjälp med eller gosa, en ständig interaktion. Om jag lämnar rummet så dröjer det inte 5 minuter innan jag hör någon ropa “Mamma”. Att vara mamma innebär att flytta fokus från sig själv till sina barn. Att inte kunna planera och att ständigt vara flexibel. Att arbeta heltid och samtidigt ha 3 barn innebär en ständig sömnbrist och minimalt med egentid. Men det innebär också en kärlek så stor att jag inte trodde det var möjligt.
