A tag using .:. Simple Vintage Garden District by Simple Stories

So I just couldn't help myself! I made a tag using the lovely Simple Stories collection Simple Vintage Garden District. Love the colors and patterns. And they go so well together with the acrylic colors by Dina Wakley.

Så jag kunde inte låta bli att också göra en tag med den underbara Simple Vintage Garden District-kollektionen från Simple Stories. Älskar färgerna och mönstren. Och så snyggt det matchar med akrylfärgerna från Dina Wakley.

Spread your wings .:. Art journaling page .:. Simple Vintage Garden District by Simple Stories

Me and my dear friend and Design Team colleague have challenged eachouther to create art using the same collection; The Simple Vintage Garden District by Simple Stories. So I pulled out my Media Art journal from Dina Wakley and started! The first creation in this challenge is a page of my dear daughter - love her! I first used gesso on the entire page. I used some of Dina Wakleys Media Tissue paper with matte gel. Then I added some of Dinas acrylic paints blended with some water. Then I used baby wipes and two different stencils from Finnabair and Vicki Boutin to pick up some of the paint and make patterns. I added some stamping using the beautiful stamps from the Simple Vintage Garden District collection as well as some mixed media stamps from Hänglar&Wings. Then I added some pattern paper and lots of decorations and stickers from Simple Stories. I really look forward to see what Jessica will create now that she has been challenged!

Jag och min fina vän och DT-kollega Jessica har utmanat varandra att skapa med samma kollektion; The Simple Vintage Garden District by Simple Stories. Så jag drog fram min Media Art journal från Dina Wakley och började skapa. Min första skapelse i utmaningen är en art journaling-sida med min underbara dotter. Först använde jag gesso på hela sidan. Sen applicerade jag tissuepapper från Dina Wakley med matt gel. Jag har använt Dina Wakleys akrylfäger som jag blandat med vatten och innan de torkat har jag plockat upp en del av färgen med hjälp av våtservetter och stenciler från Finnabair och Vicki Boutin. Jag har stämplat med stämplar från underbara Simple Vintage Garden District samt Hänglar&Wings. Sen öste jag på med mönstrat papper, dekorationer och stickers från Simple Stories. Det ska bli så spännande att se vad Jessica kommer att skapa med samma serie nu när hon blivit utmanad!

hello! card using .:. Vicki Boutin Wildflower & Honey .:. and Dina Wakley Collage Tissue Paper

Almost ever since I started scrapbooking I have liked and followed Dina Wakley. I love her scribbles and silhouette women. I have had this tissue paper for a while not knowing exactly what to use it for - it was almost enough just having it in my stash. Then  tried just applying  it to a card using matte gel and combining with the lovely Wildflower & Honey Collection from Vicki Boutin and I think it came out perfect. What do you think?

Nästan ända från starten i min scrapbooking ar jag följt Dina Wakley. Jag älskar hennes sketchiga siluetter av kvinnor. Jag har haft de här tissuepapperna ett tag utan att kunna bestämma mig för vad jag skulle använda dem till - att bara äga dem har nästan räckt. Sen provade jag att applicera dem med matte gel på en kort bas och kombinera med fantastiska Wildflower & Honey-kollektionen från Vicki Boutin. Det blev hur bra som helst! Eller vad tycker du?

Birthday Tags with distress oxide ink .:. Vicki Boutin Wildflower and Honey

I had to go back to the Wildflower and Honey collection by Vicki Boutin because there are still so many cute bits and pieces to play with. Like the decorations on these tags. I used Distress oxide ink to make the backgrounds, much easier on this smaller surface.

Jag kände mig tvungen att gå tillbaka till Wildflower and Honey-kollektionen av Vicki Boutin eftersom det fanns så många söta delar kvar att leka med. Some de här dekorationerna. Bakgrunden är hjord med Distress oxide ink, så mycket enklare på lite mindre ytor.

Love this .:. Prima Marketing .:. Capri collection by FrankGarcia

Have you seen the new Capri collection by Frank Garcia, Prima Marketing? OMG it is so beautiful. I choose a photo from last summer and our vacation at Agistri, Greece. My sweet son Love swam over to a small island and climb a hill. This photo is taken onto of the hill by my neighbor. I made the background using distress oxide Stormy Sky. It was a bit hard to use the distress oxide over such a big surface (12x12 paper) and I had some trouble getting the effect I wanted - easier on cards - but in the end I am happy with the result. I also used one of Finnabairs new stenciles with Distress ink.

Har du sett den nya Capri-kollektionen av Frank Garcia, Prima Marketing? Den är verkligen helt ljuvlig! Jag valde ett foto från sommarens resa till Agistri, Grekland. Min fina son simmade till en ö och besteg en kulle. Fotot är taget högst upp på kullen av en av våra fina grannar som simmade med. Jag gjorde bakgrunden med Distress Oxide. Det var mycket svårare att göra en så stor yta (12x12) jämfört med bakgrunden på ett kort (6x) så jag fick kämpa en del tills att jag var nöjd. Jag använde också en av Finnabairs nya stenciler med vanlig Distress Ink på. Jag blev ändå nöjd till slut!
