Epic Fail

Epic Fail - has something happened lately that you would rather forget, if so now is the time to create a layout about it! We all learn something from going through tough times, what did you learn?

This weeks challenge over at The Studio Challenges is all about Epic Fail.
This is my take:

I have an epic fail for you all. I have had a drivers license for many many years and I am pretty good at parking... or well I am OK anyway, and I have never hit anything while parking really. This day I was going to collect my son and was a bit stressed, not only for collecting him and getting to my next appointment on time, but also because I had this major delivery at work which had taken a lot of my time and energy lately. So I wasn't really in balance. When making this easy parking I suddenly noticed I was stuck - WHAT... what happened.... I had hit a car parked on the street. Really embarrassing and an epic fail for me. So what can you do but make a page about it....

Ett enkelt kort

Jag är lite ambivalent till att göra kort. Jag gör det för jag älskar hemgjorda kort men jag lyckas aldrig riktigt få dem att bli som jag tänkt mig. Det är som om formatet är lite för litet för mig. Svårt att skapa "white space" på ett litet kort och ändå göra det intressant. Hur som helst, det här kortet är jag riktigt nöjd med i sin enkelhet. Perfekt att kombinera med en text för ett speciellt tillfälle.

Jag har stämplat direkt på et mönstrat papper och klippt ut fjärilen som jag sedan sytt fast på kortet. Att komplettera ett enkelt kort med en söm tycker jag ger en fin effekt... så enkelt.

April release from A2Z Scraplets

Today I am showing 2 pages with the new releases using 4 different Scraplets. This was the most beautiful release so far according to me Deb has really blown the hole DT away with her designs WOW. On this first page I just wanted to keep it simple to let the Scraplets stand out. I combined with my current favorite collection Styleboard by Maggie Holmes from Crate Paper.

The frame I just colored with Peacook Feathers Distress ink. Also the title 'as time goes by' has Peacook Fethers together with some light embossing to make it shimmer. The swirly circle I colored with Tattered Angels Chalkboard glimmer mist Strawberry Shortcake to get the same matte Finnish and then I embossed with glitter embossing on some parts of it.

 Page #2 is made using the same collection Styleboard by Maggie Holmes from Crate Paper. I just added a gold embossed title as the final touch to get it special.

When I embossed the title 'love this life' I tried gold spray from Crafter's companion and then added gold embossing powder when the gold spray was still wet. When heating I got this really bubbly boiling effect... Love it.

På äventyr

Ibland när jag får en ny kollektion i min hand finns det någon extra fin detalj eller papper som jag tycker extra mycket om och då har jag lite svårt att använda just det.. för då finns det ju liksom intecknar längre LOL. Det som är så bra med paper pads är att det oftast finns 2 av varje papper. Just därför kunde jag förmå mig att använda detta vackra molnpappret och egentligen är det ju så att använder man det så finns det ju alltid kvar som en del av en layout. Jag ville använda pappret så att jag säkert kund fortsätta att se det och därför hoppade jag över att använda masker och kladd den här gången.

Numbers challenge at The Studio Challenges

Todays challenge over at The Studio Challenges is to create a layout including numbers whether its you title, journaling or both would be even better!

My page is all about counting numbers. The journaling is in swedish and says: "Mom, I do not have to start school. I already know how to count to 100."

I sprayed Gesso onto of the numbers and then I used different mists. 

I used Maggie Holmes Styleboard collection from Crate Paper, Thickers from American Crafts and stamps from Kaisercraft for this page.

Multi-purpose-kort

Ibland när jag "ändå" har matchade papper framför mig gör jag några multi-purpose-kort som jag lägger i min kortlåda, redo att plockas fram och med en enkel justering använda för vad ändamålet än må vara... detta är 2 av dem.

Sketch challenge at A2Z Scraplets
