Chasing butterflies and Always face the sun ♥ för CiLi in Papers

Idag blir det ännu ett av mina favoritfoto. Vem kan inte älska en 4-åring i paljettklänning och fotbollsskor som hänger upp och ner?!?
Jag har fortsatt att mixa några av mina favorit serier från några av mina favoritdesigners… PP, dekorationer, press-ons, blomma, ram och stämplar från Pink Paislee Cottage farm med bårder från Teresa Collins Summer Stories. De funkar ju så bra ihop.

Den glittriga bården delade jag upp i 3 delar och spred på olika ställen på layouten för att ta upp effekten av paljettklänningen på fotot.
Även den lilla biljetten ”LOVE” är klippt från en av bårderna från Teresa Collins Summer Stories.

Jag valde att lägga press-on-bilden över kanten mellan det mönstrade pappret och bakgrunden för detta är just det jag älskar med ”gnuggisar” att man kan skapa en gränsöverstigande effekt.

Jag har valt att använda den förtryckta texten på ramen ”Chasing butterflies” och stämplen ”Always face the sun” som den enda titeln. Jag tycker att det räcker så.

 

  

 

For the love of Twine ♥ New Challenge at the Studio Challenges

I ♥ Twine, and I have since I first laid my hands on it. I think it is the perfect accessory to make a page complete.This month we are having a Twine challenge over at the Studio Challenges.

This page is about a vacation filled with crab fishing {Krabbfiske} .

To catch the crabs we use pins and clams. I made a crab stamp in two different sizes just for this page and tied the twine to 2 mini clothes pins

 

I also added some twine to the border and stitched it down.

I decided to add some hidden journaling to remind me about this vacation at Strömstad last summer.

Always face the sun ♥

Jag älskar det här fotot ♥ så mycket glädje, bus, action…. Jag ville att layouten skulle matcha och vara busig.

Jag har valt att mixa papper och detaljer från MME Find your wings and fly - Sky’s the limit och Pink Paislee Cottage farm för de funkar så bra ihop. I bakgrunden har jag använt Aztec stencil från Crafter’s Workshop och stämplar från MME Sky’s the limit. Jag har använt distress ink på alla kanter.

Jag har dekorerat med en doily, wood veener från Studio Calico och diverse detaljer från kollektionerna som jag tidigare nämnt. Jag har använt 3D-foam och tissue paper för att skapa en känsla av olika nivåer.

Till titeln använde jag ”Always face the sun” som är en stämpel från stämpelsetet i Pink Paislee Cottage farm serien

Stamped feather on a page

I also made a page using the same stamp as I showed yesterday at the Photocentric blog.
I made the stamp using a cut-out feather in black CS and hearts printed on a transparency sheet. The camera stamp I made with the normal stamp making procedure using a Royalty free image from the internet.

It is fun to mix a text already on the PP with some alpha sticker and an image. This way the title gets dynamic and fun.

What you need

Cutting machine or punch and a printer to make the stamp. Camera stamp. Cardstock, doily, wood veneer hearts and arrow, Teresa Collins Summer Stories PP, Kaiser Kraft Tiny alphas, 3D foam, sewing machine, distress ink, stamping ink.

 

What to do

1) Stamp the feathers on to the background CS. Then trace the edges with a black pen.

2) Cut out a piece of PP slightly bigger than the photo, 3 banners and the LOVED piece of PP and ink all edges.

3) Cut the LOVED in halves to make it look longer.

4) Cut out the butterfly tag and the swirls using a Silhouette or similar and ink the edges.

5) Stitch on the pieces to the background.

6) Add the doily.

7) Stamp the camera, cut it out and add on 3D foam.

8) Add the text “by the” using tiny alphas.

9) Ink all around the background and then free-hand-cut the stripe of PP, ink and stitch onto the top edge.

10) Then just add the wood veneer hearts and arrow.

11) Enjoy!

New technique for making stamps

I was challenged by Sally at Photocentrics totry a new technique for making my stamp using the Stampmaker.

How to make the stamp

1) Basically you cut a shape and print out a design on your negative film (but here used in positive). 

2) You put the cut out in the clamp, place positive on top (you can make without a design but always use a sheet of clear acetate to stop the polymer bulging through the holes in the acetate), place imagepac on top, close clamp.

3) Expose as normal.

I made the stamp using a cut-out feather in black CS and hearts printed on a transparency sheet.

What you need

Cutting machine or punch and a printer to make the stamp. Cardstock, doily, lace, ribbon, wood veneer hearts, Teresa Collins Summer Stories PP, staples, 3D foam, sewing machine, distress ink, stamping ink, and a good pen.

What to do

1) Stamp two feathers on to a piece of CS. Then trace the edges with a black pen

2) Ink the edges and folded a doily around the CS and stitched a border.

3) Cut out the “Story” PP and two banners, inked all edges, and stitched on.  

4) Then staple on a piece of lace.

5) Cut out the blue swirls using a Silhouette or similar and inked the edges.

6) Cut out the PP and a large white CS tag, ink the edges, and stack on top of each other and add the STORY cluster on 3D foam.

7) Then just add the organza ribbon and the wood veneer hearts.

8) Enjoy!

 So would you like to experiment? It is a real fun way of making the stamp and you can combine different patterns and shapes to make several unique stamps.
